do it now!

Practically, we change our habits most easily by focusing on the present. So aim to live in the awareness of the present moment, and do not dwell on the past or the future. Realise that intention right now. Start right now, at this moment.

Do not make resolutions for the future. Don't say " I will begin tomorrow". Do it now - make the change now. It should be the same with every task you feel is necessary, with every change you wish to make in yourself. At the very moment that it occurs to you that you should do something, or make a change in your habits, do it immediately. Don't make excuses or postpone it until later. Don't carry that thought in your head, or it will become a mental burden to you. Keep your mind clear so that you can hear your inner voice of intuition. Let your actions proceed immediately from your thoughts. Let your intentions be divine, and realise each intention immediately.

So, for example, instead of deciding you are going to start meditating every day for a year, simply sit in silence right now, as soon as the idea occurs to you, stop what you are doing and meditate, even if only for a minute or two. Each time the thought occurs - "I need to meditate more often" - then meditate immediately. Do not make or allow yourself any excuses. Do it immediately. Convert your conscious intention into immediate action. With such an approach your new habits will become established very quickly. Use this method to consciously direct your growth in the direction that you choose.
